ATTENTION RESIDENTS OF WALNUTPORT BOROUGH: As part of a challenging 2021 budget process, Walnutport Borough Council decided that it needed to eliminate funding for NLRA. We understand and appreciate that the decision was a difficult one. With this loss of funding, along with the reduction in funding from Slatington and Washington Township, NLRA must move forward to make up for this loss of funding. Unfortunately, with Walnutport no longer a member of the Authority, this means that Walnutport Borough residents are now considered Non-Residents and may be subject to a higher fee for programs. We sincerely hope that you will continue to take advantage of all that NLRA offers by participating in our programs and events, so many of which are free! We also want to thank the Borough of Walnutport for their past support. If you have any questions regarding this change, please do not hesitate to contact the NLRA at / 484-633-0093.
As we continue to navigate COVID, we are working on a variety of programs and events. These programs would not be possible without the generous support of our partners- Slatington Borough, Washington Township, Northern Lehigh School District, as well as the Rotary Club of Slatington, the Slatington Lions Club, the Leona Gruber Charitable Trust, Wildlands Conservancy, Lehigh County, Northampton County, the D&L National Historic Corridor and the Mickley Fravel Charitable Trust.
Thank you all!
