Mission Statement:

The mission of the Northern Lehigh Recreation Authority is to provide a diverse range of recreation programs and activities that promote a strong sense of community.

The Northern Lehigh Recreation Authority’s 2024 Annual Campaign to raise funds for the Authority’s upcoming year of programs and services is underway.  NLRA’s mission is to provide a diverse range of educational and recreational programs, events and activities that promote a strong sense of community.  The Authority receives annual contributions from Slatington Borough and Washington Township, but it is not enough to cover the costs of the many free and low cost programs that are provided to residents of Northern Lehigh, including concerts, events such as the Day In The Park, the Bulldog Blast Summer Rec. Program and many other community programs.  In 2023, NLRA also took over operation of the Northern Lehigh Swimming Pool and is working hard to continue improving the facility, including making it fully ADA compliant adding amenities for patrons that will make their visits all the more enjoyable.  Residents interested in supporting NLRA’s efforts to improve the quality of life in Northern Lehigh are encouraged to read and respond to the 2024 Annual Campaign request that they will receive in the mail or to go to NLRA’s website, www.northernlehighrec.org, and click on the Donate button.

For more information on the Annual Campaign and any of NLRA’s programs and events, contact NLRA at nlrecauthority@gmail.com or call 484-633-0093.

Northern Lehigh Recreation has a full schedule of programs and events planned for the Northern Lehigh community this coming Fall and Holiday season!

We are SO grateful to Slatington Borough and Washington Township for the significant contributions they make to NLRA each year, but your support is needed as well!  This year so far, over 5,500 children, adults and their families participated in NLRA's programs and events, including joining the Northern Lehigh Swimming Pool.  You can help us to continue to grow as a community partner and donor.  Contact us with questions about what you can do to help promote a strong sense of community in the Northern Lehigh area!

NLRA's many programs and events would not be possible without the extremely generous support of our partners- Slatington Borough, Washington Township, Northern Lehigh School District, as well as the Rotary Club of Slatington, the Slatington Lions Club, Slatington Lodge #440, the Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce, the Venture Group, the Henry L. Mickley & Mabel S. Fravel Charitable Trust, the Trexler Trust, the Main Street Foundation, IronPigs Charities and Lehigh County.

Thank you everyone!
