As you may or may not know, a local group of volunteers envisioned the creation of a community center in Northern Lehigh many years ago and have since poured their hearts and souls into making this a reality.  In doing so they have acquired land and were able to build the shell of the facility.  Now, your local leadership & civic leaders are working diligently on a plan to revamp and redevelop the area as a whole.  The first step taken was creating the Northern Lehigh Recreation Authority through a multi-municipal agreement to finish the construction of this facility and to improve and enhance the areas park and recreation resources.

The creation of the Northern Lehigh Community Center will be so much more than just a gymnasium.  It will stand as a community hub offering a safe community gathering spot, improved health and social interaction, community involvement, increased opportunities for physical activity and will be an impetus for further improvements in the revitalization of downtown Slatington and all of Northern Lehigh.

The Northern Lehigh Community Center Committee continues to offer programs and events throughout the area.  They are advocates for the center and are assisting the newly created Northern Lehigh Recreation Department.  PLEASE CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THEM!
